To enhance our community as a Not-for-profit charitable organization committed to raising funds to improve programs, parks, facilities, & services of the Crystal Lake Park District.
The Crystal Lake Park Foundation, works to raise money for Park District projects. "The Park District Board of Commissioners reactivated the foundation to help fund capital improvements," said Joe Davison, Park Foundation Liaison.
The Foundation provides residents and businesses an opportunity to join as partners with the Crystal Lake Park District to make the community a better place to live. It is an organization dedicated to the preservation of open space, conservation, nature, outdoor recreation and cultural and educational programs in Crystal Lake.
The Foundation conducts fund-raising to help supplement the Park District’s budget, taking on wide-ranging projects that would otherwise not be possible. Areas the Foundation has helped with include the sand volleyball court at Woodscreek Park, playgrounds in neighborhood parks, equipment for teen programs, funding for the Regatta Playground, the Band Shell at Main Beach and scholarship money for children to attend summer day camp or other programs. The Park Foundation is currently working with Project Gravity to build a Skate Park at Lippold Park.
:
Successful fundraising efforts sponsored by the Foundation include Breakfast with Santa, the Lights on the Lake Festival, and Ribfest at Main Beach.
