Lippold Park, located just west of Route 14 on Route 176, has become the home to a multitude of park district programs, activities and events on a daily basis. It is a 310 acre mixed use park featuring hiking trails, a disc golf course, eight baseball fields, four softball fields with entire infields of synthetic turf, nine irrigated soccer fields, three football fields, Hound Town Dog Park, sand volleyball courts, concession stands 3+ miles of biking/walking trails including the Walt Herrick Sr. Trail and sixty acres of ponds and wetlands. A skate park, and batting cages are scheduled to open in the summer of 2008.
