Extended Time

General Information
Crystal Lake Park District Extended Time (E.T.) is a before and after school program providing safe, reliable care for children. E.T. gives parents the comfort of knowing where their children are when they cannot be home.

All School District #47 students in kindergarten through fifth grade, are eligible to attend. E.T. is held at Glacier Ridge, Canterbury, Coventry, Husmann, Indian Prairie, North, South, West and Woodscreek Elementary Schools, as well as our facilities at Grand Oaks Recreation Center and Spoerl Park (kindergarten only).

E.T. Staff provide supervised recreational activities allowing time for group games, arts and crafts, movies, field trips, fun with friends and even homework! This program also allows your children to participate in after school art classes or sport practices you might not have been able to transport them to.

More information can be found within this website, as well as, the Crystal Lake Park District Administrative Office. Scholarships and reduced rates are available for those in need, on a first come, first served basis.

Registration can change daily, it is important to call our office for an updated status on program availability. If the school in which you are interested is filled, your child can be placed on a waiting list. As space becomes available, children will be added to the program.

For parents looking ahead to the 2008-2009 school year, a Pre-Registration Day for the 2008-2009 School Year Extended Time program will take place on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 7:30 AM.  Pre-Registration will be held at the Crystal Lake Park District Administration Office, located at One East Crystal Lake Avenue, Crystal Lake.  Further information and forms can be found online at www.crystallakeparks.org or by calling Sam Thompson at (815) 459-0680, ext. 220 or Susanne Chase at (815) 459-0680, ext. 215.  Registration forms and information can also be picked up ahead of time at the Park District Administration Office.  If the school in which you are interested is filled, your child can be placed on a waiting list.  As space becomes available, children will be added to the program.
