The Crystal Lake Park District Gymnastics program offers instructional programs that provide an opportunity for children of all ages to enjoy gymnastics from preschool programs to more advanced/specialized levels. Careful time and attention is spent on class placement to make sure all students have a rewarding and enjoyable gymnastics experience.
The Crystal Lake Park District Gymnastics program is a part of the Illinois Park District Gymnastics Conference (IPDGC) was founded in 1980, as a means to provide an alternative recreational gymnastics competition arena to local Parks and Recreation gymnastics and dance programs. Over 20 area Park Districts participating in our conference divisions.
It is an alternative to USAG or GIJO competition for Compulsory and Optional-level gymnasts for both boys and girls. The IPDGC places a strong emphasis on the enjoyment of a recreational activity, and not the outcome of competition. IPDGC believes in the core ideology of "Students First: Winning Second".

Suggest attire for Crystal Lake Park District Gymnastics Classes: Girls may wear a leotard or shorts and t-shirt. Boys may wear shorts and a t-shirt. Long hair must be pulled back and all have bare feet.
Parents are encouraged to have young children use the bathroom prior to class. Bring them to class on time and pick them up on time. If someone other than a Parent/Guardian will be picking them up, let our staff know beforehand.
Parents may view class from the window viewing area located in the main lobby. Some classes may have a demonstration time at the end of the class. Your child’s instructor will let you know ahead of time of scheduled demonstration days.
Parents should complete the Gymnastics Program Waiver and bring to the first class.
