Operated by the Crystal Lake Park District, Lippold Family Golf Center includes 40 lighted tee areas, a 60,000 square foot putting green, two 18-hole miniature golf courses, expansive deck and concessions. Golfers of all ages and abilities consider it the perfect location to improve their game. A restored wetland and wildlife area with walking and biking trails uniquely surrounds the facility. Miniature Golf

The greens of the two miniature golf courses at the Lippold Park Family Golf Center welcomed golf enthusiasts for the very first time in July 2003. Harris Miniature Golf of New Jersey, the premier miniature golf course builder in the United States, built the courses. The addition of the two 18-hole miniature golf courses to the existing driving range is part of the Crystal Lake Park District Master Plan, published in 1999.

One course, Crystal Shores is handicapped accessible, has a nautical theme and is a par 40 course. The second course, Butterfly Falls, is a par 41 course and celebrates nature.

Driving Range

The golf range offers a myriad of ways to improve your golf game. Amenities include 40 lighted tee areas; fairway bunker; short game area with chipping green; small clubhouse, concessions and 60,000 sf putting green. Due to the location of the range, if the area receives a significant amount of rain for multiple days, the range may be closed. Please call in advance if you are not sure of our current operations.

Please note: Bring your own clubs for the driving range, range clubs are not available.

Birthday Packages

All parties require adult supervision. Parties are held on either of the two mini-golf courses. In the event of bad weather, the party will move inside. Reservation includes one round of mini-golf, 1.5 hours of indoor space for cake and presents and goody bag for each player. Birthday parties may be booked May-September. Fees based on if birthday host is resident or non-resident.

Field Trip Packages

Groups participate on either of the two mini-golf courses or the driving range. In the event of bad weather, the field trip may be rescheduled (if applicable) or refunded. Field trips may be booked April-September and require adult supervision.

Package includes 18 holes of mini-golf or driving range: $6 per person

School District 47 & 155 field trip rate: $4 per person

Fundraising Packages

All fundraisers must submit a written request for board approval. Fundraising organization must meet with Golf Manager prior to event for set-up, coordination of mini-golf/other events and possible outside vendors. In the event of bad weather, the fundraiser may be rescheduled (if applicable) or refunded.

Pricing starts at $150 per hour per course weekdays (Mon-Th), $250 per hour per course on the weekends (Fri-Sun).
