State Enters Bridge to Phase 5 of the Restore Illinois Plan-Impact on Crystal Lake Park District Operations

Mon May 17, 2021

On Fri, May 14, Governor Pritzker announced the movement of the entire state into the Bridge to Phase 5 of the Restore Illinois Plan. The Bridge Phase allows for expanded capacity limits for businesses and gatherings before the state moves to a full reopening in Phase 5. Barring any significant reversals in key COVID-19 statewide indicators, Illinois could enter Phase 5 as soon as Friday, June 11.
The Crystal Lake Park District is committed to providing quality programming in a safe environment. We will continue to follow the most recent guidelines from the State of Illinois, Illinois Department of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control to ensure the safest environment possible for customers and staff.
Bridge to Phase 5 will allow for higher capacity limits and increased business operations, including:
  • Dining: maintains at least 6 feet between tables and parties of 10 or less, but increases standing area capacity to 30% indoors and 50% outdoors
  • Health and fitness, offices, personal care, retail/service counter: increase from 50% capacity to 60% capacity
  • Amusement parks: increase from 25% to 60% capacity
  • Festivals and general admission outdoor spectator events: increase from 15 to 30 people per 1,000 square feet
  • Meetings/conferences/conventions: increases to lesser of 1,000 people or 60% capacity (previously dependent on venue capacity)
  • Museums: increase from 25% capacity to 60% capacity
  • Recreation: indoor, increase to lesser of 100 people or 50% capacity; Outdoor, maximum groups of 100, multiple groups permissible
  • Social events: indoor up to 250 people; Outdoor up to 500 people
  • Theaters/performing arts: increase to 60% capacity
  • Zoos: increase to 60% capacity
For all programs: The Crystal Lake Park District will follow current mask use guidelines from the Illinois Department of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control. We ask that park visitors and program participants follow current physical distancing guidelines. Please remember to practice good hygiene and sanitize hands appropriately. Stay home if you’re not feeling well.
