Day Trips for Adults with the Crystal Lake Park District

Let the Crystal Lake Park District make it easy for you to travel with your friends. We provide the transportation and drop you off at the door. The Crystal Lake Park District offers special events, trips and weekly programs and activities for senior citizens and adults.  Registration is accepted up the posted registration deadline as long as space is available.  Registration in advance is required.  Registration is accepted at the Crystal Lake Park District Administrative Office, located at One East Crystal Lake Avenue, Crystal Lake, or online at www.crystallakeparks.org. 

Crystal Lake Park District Trip Policy:

In order to keep trips affordable, the CLPD co-ops with other Park Districts. Departure location is dependent on number of participants from each Park District. Cancellation policy:  Refund will be given if the request falls before the cut-off date less the $5 service charge.  If the refund request falls after the cut-off date, no refunds will be given unless a replacement is able to be found.

Pickers and Poopies and Buffalo Bill

Travel to Le Claire, Iowa for an exciting day visiting the quaint town of Le Claire where the American Pickers store is and many other shops in town all along the Mississippi River.  The Buffalo Bill Museum is another option to visit during you time in Le Claire.  Following our time in Le Claire, we then travel to Savannah, IL for a late lunch (on your own) at Poopies Bar and Grill.  A unique lunch spot that you don't want to miss!   Trip is by motor coach.  Registration deadline is October 5th (spaces permitting).  Heavy walking on this trip.

Fireside-Irving Berlin’s Holiday Inn

Holiday Inn tells the story of Jim, who leaves the bright lights of show business behind to settle down on his farmhouse in Connecticut, but life just isn’t the same without a bit of song and dance. Enjoy the famous lunch and dessert that Fireside provides before we go in to the show. Transportation via CLPD bus/van. Minimum walking on this trip. Registration deadline is Oct 10 (spaces permitting).

Holiday Trolley and Dinner at Francesca's Passaggio-Naperville

Prepare for an awesome holiday outing as we dine for a family-style dinner at Francesca's Passaggio.  This restaurant is known for rustic cooking that celebrates the culinary traditions of Rome, Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio.  Dinner includes:  Sausage and Peppers, Insalata alla Francesca Salad, Rigatoni con Mozzarella, Pollo alla Romana, Torta di Formaggio as well as fresh baked bread, fountain drink, tea and coffee.  A cash bar is available.  Following our delicious dinner, we will embark on a fun 1 hour tour of some of the highly decorated homes in Naperville in a heated trolley!  You won't want to miss this trip to help get you in the holiday spirit!   Transportation via CLPD bus/van.  Minimum walking on this trip.  Registration deadline is Nov 14 (spaces permitting).
