Summer Tennis Lessons with the Crystal Lake Park District

Mon July 1, 2019

Membership at The Racket Club is NOT required to participate in Summer Tennis Lessons with our expert Racket Club staff. Lessons are offered to anyone ages 5 and up and are offered June-August at the Veteran Acres tennis courts and the Racket Club tennis courts. A complete class schedule can be found on page 61-62 of the Crystal Lake Park District summer activity guide at crystallakeparks.org.

Pee Wee Summer Tennis

Ages 5-7

Kids learn tennis the fun way!  Our energetic instructors use adaptive equipment and instructional methods to show kids that tennis is as much a “game” as it is a “sport.”

Beginner Summer Tennis

Ages 7 & Up

Players learn the necessary skills to play games and rally.  Beginners start with grip, stance and swing.  Advanced beginners and intermediates add movement, strategy and more specialized shots.  By summer’s end, kids will be ready to play matches with friends!

Advanced Beginner/Intermediate Summer Tennis

Ages 7 & Up

Participants with a good understanding of the basics -- ground strokes, volleys, serves -- will love the advanced training that a drill provides.  Skills are taught and then reinforced with games that specially emphasize them.

Drill Summer Tennis (all levels)

Ages 7 & Up

Participants with a good understanding of the basics -- ground strokes, volleys, serves -- will love the advanced training that a drill provides.  Skills are taught and then reinforced with games that specially emphasize them.
