2023 SENIOR CAMP (GRADES 4-5)
Camp starts each day at Main Beach. Campers experience three days of swim lessons, sand castle building, canoeing, kayaking, playground fun and lunch at the beach. At their sites they will have a fun-filled day of arts and crafts, group games, nature activities, and outdoor/playground play. Each week campers will forward to local field trips such as the splash pad at Woodscreek Park, campfires and archery at Veteran Acres Park, visits to the Nature Center or fishing at Shamrock Hills.

Gina Smak
Senior Camp Director
Gina has worked for the Park District for over 30 years! Gina is currently the site supervisor at Woods Creek Elementary, where she has written the annual winter play for the ET students to perform for families. Gina manages the senior camp program each summer, helping groom future camp counselors. In 2018, Gina won the Northwest Herald "Local Hero" award for her dedication and mentoring of our youth.
