Crystal Lake Park District Receives Illinois Parks and Recreation GameTime/PlayCore Grant for Haligus Park Playground

The Crystal Lake Park District received the GameTime/Illinois Parks and Recreation Association (IPRA) Grant in support of our playground at Haligus Road Park in Lakewood, Illinois. The grant is a matching fund grant for play equipment through Gametime representative Cunningham Recreation. This award is part of an Illinois statewide initiative to promote healthy play with the Illinois Park and Recreation Association (IPRA), GameTime, and GameTime's parent company, PlayCore.

The designed park proposes many exciting features which may include pickleball courts, a splash pad and playground, demonstration garden, a shelter, restroom building, an outer loop walking path with seating nodes, a soccer field, basketball court and paved parking. A walking path shall surround the park and run along the Kishwaukee River.
