Community Garden Plot

Please note: Garden Plot registration will be available once the Administration Office reopens (tentative date April 8). The Parks Department will begin garden plot rototilling and preparation when the Governor's executive order is lifted.

Do you have a green thumb and want to explore the world of gardening? We have garden plots available at Hill Farm Acres located at 695 Barlina Road, behind Barlina House Preschool and Barn.

Garden plot dimensions: 20' x 40'

Growing season: May 1-October 31

Registration/reservation is in person only at the Crystal Lake Park District Administration Building located at 1 E. Crystal Lake Avenue during the hours of 8:30 am-5 pm, Monday-Friday.

Feb 3-Feb 28:Returning gardeners register for same plot from last year

Mar 2-Mar 6: Returning gardeners register and may switch to a new plot

Mar 9: Registration is open to all Park District residents

Mar 16: Registration is open to the public

Gardeners will receive plot assignments at time of registration along with the plot guidelines/soil preparation for our organic gardens. An email needs to be provided at time of registration to receive up-to-date information during the growing year. Questions?
