Each week the Crystal Lake Park District hosts a regional band to perform at Main Beach. Pull out a blanket and enjoy a great night of free entertainment lakeside. Concerts are held on Tuesdays at 7 PM beginning June-August. Food and beverage (beer and wine) and small charcoal grills are allowed (no glass please.) In the event of inclement weather, decision to reschedule the concert will be made by 4 pm. Check status by calling 815.410.4475 ext 6.

Please park in the following areas for concert evenings: Main Beach parking lot, grass triangle across the street from the Lakeside Arts in the Park (Dole Mansion) and South Elementary. Please do not park at the boat gate, Dole Mansion or Seminary Park.

Join us at the Nature Center for a technology free night! Let's get into nature after dark with campfires, s'mores, stargazing, indoor bug hunt (kids under 12) and night hike at Veteran Acres! Be sure to bring your flashlight!

SUNDAY, AUG 14, 12:30-4:30 PM

MAIN BEACH - 300 LAKESHORE DRIVE, CL

The Monarch Coalition is bringing to the beach an engaging Monarch Fair loaded with activities, games and monarch education. Buy a pollinator plant and help us repopulate the monarchs! Wander to the band shell where we will be showcasing local bands for your entertainment.
12:30-4 pm: Monarch Fair

Migrate to the beach for the afternoon to enjoy Monarch Mania and learn all about Monarchs. A Monarch extravaganza with butterfly and pollinator plants information, face painting, science table activities, art activities, a big migration route map, information on how Mexico, Canada and USA are collaborating! We will have pollinator plants available for you to purchase from our participating nurseries.

1-4:30 pm: Community Band Showcase

The Crystal Lake Community Band hosts a music showcase at the band shell featuring performances by local bands and ensembles listed below:

Lumberjacks are headed to Crystal Lake! Come out to Main Beach for a saw-sational good time!
EVENTS
Timberworks of Minnesota will perform three* action-packed shows featuring log rolling, axe throwing, hot sawing, speed chopping and more! *shows repeat
A raptor show will captivate you as they perform tricks right in the park!
Attendees can walk around the park, enjoying the food trucks/beer garden and 'specialty' items while participating in fun activities such as log chucking, axe throwing and other fun!
Check back in August to find out how to compete in our pie-eating and longest beard contests!
Award-winning Third Coast Bluegrass band will take the stage to entertain the audience...and don't forget to check out the Trading Post on your way out!
