The Crystal Lake Park District organizes a variety of special events for everyone! We bring communities together with events that make lasting memories! MAIN BEACH PAVILION, 300 LAKESHORE DR, CRYSTAL LAKE

Come out the lake where you can enjoy a delicious breakfast catered by Breaking Bread and Dunkin' Crystal Lake. Our bunny will hop over to every table so your little ones have plenty of time to take photos with our furry friend. Breakfast includes scrambled eggs, sausage links, silver dollar pancakes, assorted mini-muffins and sweets, bagels, donuts, fruit, coffee, orange juice and water. Small crafts and an egg hunt is included in the fun!

SUNDAY, APRIL 5, 1-2 PM

LIPPOLD PARK HOUND TOWN, 851 W. ROUTE 176, CRYSTAL LAKE

Help your dog sniff out treat-filled eggs scattered throughout our very own Hound Town Dog Park! Please bring a basket to collect the eggs. Each dog will be able to collect up to 10 eggs. Arrive on time as the hunt will start promptly at 1 pm.

After the hunt, dogs and owners are invited to visit with the bunny, make their own dog toy, play doggy games and participate in our Easter costume contest for a chance to win an Easter basket filled with dog toys and treats. All dogs must be on leashes and an adult must accompany dog owners under the age of 18.

EVENT IS FREE TO ALL HOUND TOWN PARK PASS HOLDERS

NOTE: Families and all friendly dogs without a Hound Town pass are welcome but a $5 pre-registration fee and proof of vaccinations is required.

Hosted by the City of Crystal Lake Sustainability Committee, Bike with your Neighbor showcases three fun bike routes for all ages! Stop back at Main Beach after the ride for prize drawings and a Bike Safety Rodeo hosted by the Crystal Lake Park District Police.

Concerts in the Park Series

FREE ON TUESDAYS @ 7 PM

Main Beach - 300 LakeShore Drive

Each year, the Crystal Lake Park District hosts a regional band to perform at Main Beach. Pack a dinner, pull out a blanket and enjoy a great night of free entertainment lakeside. Concerts are held on Tuesdays at 7 PM beginning June-August. Food and beverage (beer and wine) and small charcoal grills are allowed (no glass please.) In the event of inclement weather, decision to reschedule the concert will be made by 4 pm. Check status by calling 815.410.4475 ext 6.

A 49-year tradition in Crystal Lake, the Chili Open features a traditional 9-hole golf tournament held on our frozen Crystal Lake! This February tournament is steeped in generations of memories.

WEST BEACH - 2330 LAKE AVENUE

We are keeping the Crystal Lake Anglers tradition alive! Be the fishing tale of the town when we award our prize winners for overall biggest catch as well as musky/pike, bass, and walleye catches! Advance registration is required but $10 fee will be taken at the gate (cash, check or credit card accepted.) Food and beverage will be available for purchase. Participants must be 16 years of age and have a valid IL fishing license.

Advance registration requested by February 6, free raffle ticket for those pre-registered. Raffle prizes include ice shanty, auger, propane heater and more!

Forts on the Courts

SATURDAY, MARCH 14, 6:30-8:30 PM

THE RACKET CLUB - 9101 S. ROUTE 31, LITH

The Racket Club introduced its first Fort Building battle in March 2017 which turned out to be a great success! Teams made up of family and friends are given three sheets of cardboard (96 w x 48 h) and one roll of duct tape to design and build a fort of their choice. Additional materials are allowed to finish the masterpiece. This battle combines quality time, team work and creativity to ultimate heights. Prizes will be awarded to the three favorite forts. A complimentary ice cream bar from Baskin Robbins Crystal Lake finishes off a fort-astic March evening!
